About us
The Aliança per l'Emergència Climàtica is made up of associations and individuals from Paterna, l’Eliana, and San Antonio de Benagéber in the l'Horta and Camp de Túria regions of Valencia, Spain. We are a platform created to respond to the current threat posed by the climate crisis we are already experiencing.
We do this through educational workshops on global warming, activities to promote sustainable mobility, press articles, waste awareness campaigns, resource compilation on effective solutions, and advocacy actions.
We are also present to demand that public administrations approve measures that can mitigate the effects of the climate emergency or, conversely, to inform them that some measures, if approved, put us all at risk.
History
Our group was born in La Canyada, inspired by the Alliance that had been previously created in l'Eliana. This encouraged some residents to launch the Alliance in La Canyada as well.
From the first meeting, colleagues from San Antonio de Benagéber participated, and later, organizations from all three municipalities and individuals joined.
We began with a symbolic action that had a significant impact: blocking the metro tracks at the La Canyada station to demand more frequent train service. We wanted residents to be able to use this sustainable public transport more often and leave our polluting vehicles at home.

We're a pretty ordinary group of people!
We come from many different walks of life, and the number of summers each of us has seen varies considerably. However, we all feel an urgent need to redirect policies, education, and investments toward a greener, cleaner and happier future.
We know for a fact that there is only one habitable planet in this solar system, and we want to do everything we can to protect it.
Committed to transparency
We believe that it is essential that our public administrations are transparent about how they use our tax money.
Therefore, our accounts are also publicly available, so you can see where every penny you've donated has gone.
