Education and General Public Information

The climate crisis and the environmental emergency are already transforming our living conditions, our territories and our prospects for the future – and those of future generations. This problem cannot be tackled with good intentions alone; it requires knowledge and action, both individual and collective. Understanding what is happening, why it is happening and what we can do is just as essential as taking action. Being well-informed helps us to distinguish between facts and misinformation, to put the problems into perspective and to make better-informed decisions, both individually and collectively.

The AEC is committed to education and public outreach as tools for transformation. Being well-informed and well-educated enables us to distinguish between solid facts and media noise, to put problems into their proper perspective — both local and global — and to make more informed decisions as individuals and as a community.

In this section, you will find workshops aimed at children and adults, open talks and links to information resources on the climate emergency. These materials and spaces are designed to ensure that knowledge is not confined to academic circles, but reaches villages, neighbourhoods, classrooms and all those places where a collective response is being built.
